Cars are not allowed on Vlieland, so you will drive to Harlingen Havens. It is located along the A7 freeway that runs from Breda, Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam, the Afsluitdijk, Harlingen, Leeuwarden and Groningen. On the ring road around Harlingen, ANWB signs indicate the "Harlingen-Havens" exit. You can park the car in Harlingen Havens. See below.Parking in Harlingen
Long parking is located 1 km from the ferry terminal of Rederij Doeksen. The price for 24-hour parking is from €6.20 per day plus €3.10 per night. For more information, call 0517-420103 or visit www.parkerenharlingen.nl. From the parking lot, shuttle buses go every 5 minutes, you can also walk 15 minutes from the parking lot to the boat. You can also park in front of the ferry terminal in the garage for €15.50, there is limited availability for this in the summer and you cannot make reservations. Charging stations for electric cars are located in both garages.The boat ride
Rederij Doeksen provides the crossing to Vlieland with the ferry 'MS Vlieland' or the fast boat 'MS Koegelwieck'. We recommend reserving your boat pass in advance. You can do so by phone at 0900-3635736 (€0.10 per minute) or online at www.rederij-doeksen.nl. You can also buy your boat tickets locally at the ticket office. Because of the walking distance from the parking lots, we recommend arriving in Harlingen well in advance and unloading luggage at Doeksen's departure hall first.The ferries
By ferry MS Vlieland, you can reach Vlieland in about an hour and a half. A self-service buffet is available on the boat. The fast ferry MS Koegelwieck has a sailing time of 45 minutes, provided it sails directly to Vlieland, and has no restoration. The boats go several times a day.
