Boutique Hotel Bruin is located at Dorpsstraat 88, in the centre of the village of Vlieland. The ferry terminal, shops, bike rentals, and other activities are all within walking distance.

Yes, we can collect your luggage from the ferry terminal. Please contact reception in advance, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
Can I travel to Vlieland by car?
Cars are not allowed on Vlieland. You travel to the island via Harlingen Harbour. From cities such as Breda, Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam, Leeuwarden, and Groningen, Harlingen is easily accessible via the A7 motorway. Follow the ANWB signs marked “Harlingen-Havens”.
Where can I park in Harlingen?
The parking garage is located directly next to the Rederij Doeksen ferry terminal. Parking rates start from €6.20 per day, plus €3.10 per night. Shuttle buses run from the parking area to the terminal every 10 minutes. Walking is also possible and takes approximately 10 minutes.

How does the crossing to Vlieland work?
The crossing is operated by Rederij Doeksen. You can choose between the regular ferry or the fast ferry service. We recommend reserving your ferry tickets in advance, especially during busy periods.
How long does the ferry crossing take?
The regular ferry to Vlieland takes approximately 1.5 hours. A self-service buffet is available on board.
The fast ferry takes around 45 minutes when sailing directly to Vlieland. Please note that no catering is available on board the fast ferry.
How often do ferries sail to Vlieland?
Ferries operate several times a day. Up-to-date departure times can be found on the Rederij Doeksen website.
Do you have any tips before departure?
We recommend arriving in Harlingen well in advance, especially during busy periods. It’s best to unload your luggage at the Rederij Doeksen departure hall before parking your car.
