Op de rondweg rond Harlingen wordt op de ANWB-borden de afslag &#039;Harlingen-Havens&#039; aangegeven. Op Vlieland zijn auto&#039;s niet toegestaan. U parkeert daarom de auto in Harlingen. De meeste mensen kiezen voor de trein naar Leeuwarden en nemen de stoptrein naar Harlingen Haven. Er gaan ook diverse bussen naar Harlingen. Vanaf de de parkeerplek gaan er pendelbussen om de 5 minuten, u kunt ook 15 minuten lopen van de parkeerplek naar de boot. U kunt ook voor de veerterminal in de garage parkeren voor \u20ac 15,50, er is hiervoor in de zomer beperkte beschikbaarheid en u kunt niet reserveren. U kunt ook ter plaatse bij het loket uw boottickets kopen. Op de boot is een zelfbedieningsbuffet beschikbaar. De snelboot MS Koegelwieck heeft een vaartijd van 45 minuten, mits deze rechtstreeks naar Vlieland vaart en kent geen restauratie. De boten gaan meerdere keren per dag. Alle winkels, musea en fietsverhuurbedrijven bevinden zich op loopafstand. U kunt ook eenvoudig naar het strand lopen. Maar er rijden ook bussen het hele eiland rond. Daarnaast kunt uiteraard met uw eigen fiets of een gehuurde fiets het hele eiland verkennen.
